2024 is shaping up to be the year that we expected. As we continually monitor the markets, the Capital Group article, “5 reasons why equities could defy the odds”, highlights the reasons why we are optimistic about the health of the stock market. Those that joined us for our recent advisor roundtable know that the fundamentals talked about in this article have served us well in the past. This year the noise around the elections and interest rates will continue to increase in volume, however, as long as we continually focus on our long-term investment plan, we believe that 2024 will be a good year for all of us.
This is also the time of year when we talk a lot about proactive tax planning. There is only so much we can do after 12/31 to address the past tax year, but spring is a great time to work with the tax professionals on our clients’ financial team about proactive changes we can make for future tax years. If correspondence with your tax preparer is something that leaves you feeling confused, our CLEAR Connect program can help. Feel free to involve us, and we can help make a cohesive plan that encompasses both taxes and investments.

"The SEC's Office of Investor Education and Advocacy and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) are issuing this Investor Bulletin to urge you to consider adding a trusted contact person to your brokerage account.
When you open a new retail account or update your account information, your brokerage firm will request that you give them the name and contact information of a trusted contact person. It is not mandatory that you do so - but there are a number of very important reasons to give your broker the name of someone you trust, and the SEC's Office of Investor Education and Advocacy and FINRA urge you to consider the request."
